Utah State Parks Infrastructure | A Look Back at 2022
The Utah Division of State Parks is proud to be one of the state entities tasked with being self-sufficient. This means when you purchase an annual pass, campsite, or day-use pass, 100% of that money goes right back to enhancing and operating our Utah State Parks system.
These funds help our parks with operations costs and improvements. Park fees go directly back to help us pay for new campgrounds, day-use areas, boat ramps, trails, and other amenities that our visitors enjoy, in a clean, safe, and friendly atmosphere.
Improvements at parks have a direct positive impact on local communities where state park visitors buy groceries, get gas, stay in hotels, and hire guides and other services. Visitation to Utah’s state parks continues to grow, and it’s important that we invest in our infrastructure and maintain the highest levels of facility care and customer service to our valued guests.

In a historic ceremony hosted on Friday, June 17, 2022, the Bureau of Land Management conveyed over 6,300 acres of federal public land to the Utah Division of State Parks, which will be used to expand Goblin Valley State Park. What a Joke! I put in for 3 nights in one of the 2 yurts and the cost was over $500.00 dollars. Even 2 nights puts you real close to $400.00 dollars. The cost is way too high!!!!

I have those exact snow shoes, just bought them second hand. I love them, though I found they are not really made for deep, deep powder like we just had here now. For my use though, they are great, as I make tracks that I walk in over and over again. And they are easier to manouver and lighter than the long ones that are for deeper snow. I used to have those long ones with aluminum frames before, but I like these better.

Most of Utah State Parks are fantastic! As a Senior Utah Resident and recreational camper, I am disappointed that Utah DNR does not offer any discounts to the camping fees for residents. Most western states near Utah offer discounts to their residents. They also offer discounts for off-season camping. The recently approved $60 a night camping fee, will push many retired elderly citizens to look outside of Utah for our camping experiences. Sad.

The ball of your foot must be at the pivot point of the binding and be sure to put the excess strap into the provided clip so you don't trip on it nor it gets snagged. The cleats are called crampons. Body weight including any clothing and gear normally determines the size snowshoe you want to use.
